This course is designed to provide training for the HP StorageWorks ESL9000 Series Tape Libraries. The material describes ESL9000 hardware, how the Enterprise Storage Library system works, and provides instructions on how to set up, configure, and manage the Enterprise Storage Library. A discussion of error reporting mechanisms, best practices, and troubleshooting sources complete the course materials.
The course has been updated to include the Interface Manager Board and Command View ESL. In consequence, some of the lecture materials from the previous version have been moved into a pre-requisite WBT (eLMS 16654) which must be completed before attending this instructor-led course.
At the completion of this course, the student should be able to identify the model types available in the ESL9000 product line, and also be familiar with the product support resources available. As well as cartridge capacity and drive types available in the ESL9000's.
