Course overview

This course introduces the HP StorageWorks XP12000 and XP10000 Disk Array product line and associated software applications. The focus is predominately on the XP12000/XP10000 products, not on the previous XP generations or other array products.

The material in this course describes the XP12000 and XP10000 Disk Array hardware architecture and components and provides instructions on how to configure and manage the XP12000/XP10000 Disk Array.

Prerequisites

  • Understanding of storage technologies and interconnects
  • Working knowledge of connecting storage and mounting file systems on storage devices in HP-UX or Microsoft Windows 2000
  • Working knowledge of Fibre Channel
