HP has a new Enterprise Learning Management System (ELMS), which manages access to a wealth of HP training opportunities. The system is customized to your individual job profile and provides you with access to your Account, Enrollments, Transcripts, Tests, Skills, and Learning Plan. By participating in training accessed and delivered via ELMS, you can be assured that your personal training record will be updated to reflect your personal development.

Using ELMS to access and register for training

The following are the steps you will need to follow in order to access a course or training event and then enroll using ELMS.

  1. Access learn @hp (http://learn.hp.com), and login with your E-mail address and NT Account Password.
  2. At the learn@hp homepage, you may enter a catalog item number found on our course descriptions (ie 1599) in the Registration area specific to hp employees OR you may enter the title of the course (Implementing HSx80 Storae on UNIX Platforms). Select Go.
  3. ELMS will return the results in a display which provides you with the course title, code, delivery schedule, and description.
  4. Select the course title and when the full course information appears, select view event / enroll. Note: view events / enroll will only be available if there are classes for this course. If there are not classes for the courese, please select I am interested to be placed on a waitlist.
  5. Locate a class that suites your time schedule by clicking on daily schedule found for each event. Click on enroll to register for the event (or class). This action places this course in your My Enrollment. Here you will see the start time, location, and actions you will need to take.
  6. Upon successful enrollment, the ELMS system will send an e-mail confirming the class title, date and time, access URL, participant key, and call-in number, and browser testing information (if this is a eLearning course).

Additional search information for ELMS

If you are unsure of the catalog item number or the course title you can now try the Advanced Search from the left navigation bar. This new search area allow you to search text within the catalog title and description to find the course that meets your needs. You can narrow your search results by querying for Instructor-Led and/or e-Learning, by Language, by date, etc. Once you have your results, you can select to view only those courses that have events scheduled.
