Course overview

The HP BladeSystem p-Class Infrastructure Simulator provides an interactive simulation for demonstrating the correct choice of hardware components, order of steps, cabling, and powering on the HP BladeSystem p-Class infrastructure. It supports three configurations: 1. Basic/demo configuration, 2. SMB configuration with redundant power, and 3. maximum configuration with redundant power.

Prerequisites (suggested, not required)

Attendance in the HP BladeSystem Solutions I - Planning and Deployment course or equivalent knowledge.

Audience

PreSales Storage Technical System Engineers

Course objective

Given a rack pre-populated with server blade and power enclosures, you will choose the appropriate blade components, install those components in the correct order, cable them, and power them. You will build three distinct configurations:

  1. Basic/demo configuration, consisting of a single server blade and power enclosure, with non-redundant power and ProLiant BL20p G3 server blades;
  2. SMB configuration, consisting of multiple server blade and power enclosures, with redundant power and ProLiant BL20p G3 server blades; and
  3. maximum configuration, consisting of multiple server blade and power enclosures, with redundant power and ProLiant BL30p server blades.
